Bert is 40 years old and works on an assembly line in a brush factory. He is terribly afraid of being contaminated by germs. He avoids shaking hands with others. He won’t eat in the cafeteria. He has trouble leaving the bathroom because he isn’t sure he has washed his hands well enough.

Bert seems to be suffering from Verminophobia or, the fear of germs. Phobias are marked by persistent fear that is excessive or unreasonable. The person avoids phobic situations or else is endured with intense anxiety or distress. Exposure to the phobic stimulus almost always provokes an immediate anxiety response, which may take the form of a panic attack. Bert clearly has Verminophobia due to his unreasonable behaviors he exhibits to avoid germs.

Treatment:

When these programs are "de-bugged" the symptoms of Verminophobia often are minimized. Kurt Cobain vs Depression

Kurt Cobain was born on 20 February 1967 in Hoquaim, Seattle. He was a child of two divorced parents, and was afflicted with bronchitis. Kurt often was often traveling and living with differnt relatives. Musical influences such as The Sex Pistols and Joy Division caused him to form Nirvana in 1986. Nirvana's second album, Nevermind, containing their first single 'Smells like Teen Spirit', skyrocketed them to stardom.
The divorce of his parents when he was the age of seven, caused him to feel depressed and unloved for the rest of his life. The separation of his parents will later be the main influence of Nirvana's music. Cobain was also a drug addict which could also be the cause of his highly personal and passionate music. On March 4, 1994, Kurt was rushed to the hospital in a coma after he unsuccessfully tried to commit suicide with painkillers. His final suicide attempt and last appearance was on April 5, 1994, after he locked himself in his mansion and shot a shotgun into his mouth. His body was found with a suicide note addressed to Courtney Love and his daughter.
I feel disappointed that Kurt had to deal with his depression. Although it fueled his great music, it also ended his life short. This shows that money and fame does not grant happiness.
